The Philadelphia Eagles announced Monday that they had sent defensive lineman Kentavius Street to the Atlanta Falcons during a swap of late-round draft picks. The team exchanged the lineman after acquiring safety Kevin Byard a week prior.

Atlanta acquired Street to replace defensive tackle Grady Jarrett, who is currently out due to a knee injury. Street’s entry would alleviate the blow for the Falcons thanks to his similar playing experience with Jarrett’s.

Before his transfer to Atlanta, Street had signed a one-year contract with the Falcons in March. He appeared in all eight games with Philadelphia this season. Street recorded four tackles and played 17 percent of the team’s defensive snaps throughout the eight games.

Street will reunite with Falcons defensive coordinator Ryan Nielsen, who coached Street in college at North Carolina State.

Street will line up with defensive tackle David Onyemata and linebacker Kaden Elliss, his former New Orleans Saints teammates who ed Atlanta during an offseason trade.

Meanwhile, the New York Giants have sent defensive lineman Leonard Williams to the Seattle Seahawks, according to sources on Monday. The Giants will receive a 2024 second-round pick and a 2025 fifth-round pick in exchange.

The Seahawks aim to reinforce their defenses with William’s acquisition after winning 24-20 over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

Williams is no stranger to near-deadline transfers. The New York Jets traded him to the Giants in 2019 at the trade’s deadline. The Giants sent third- and fifth-round picks to the Jets in exchange.

Williams will go hand-in-hand with defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence to hold their team’s defenses for the remainder of the season. The lineman recorded 21 tackles in total with 1.5 sacks during all seven appearances this season.

“We know that the team goes as we go, the defense goes as we go. It’s always on us. It’s no pressure because it’s something that we take honor to,” said Lawrence.
